Lets not let history repeat itself. Be smarter for the knowledge, and never let anyone trick you with words, we are too smart for that.
With the promises he declared, everyone who had fallen hopes and dreams would grasp at the shine purpose, the new guy, and a distinctive aspirant. Few have seen many come and go, so they were wary of his pledges. Many were on board including the media whose ethics and aspirations were similar and they would door say nothing to debase his run for the highest office in the government. He was the golden child, the all knowing, all healing, and “The One.” To protect him would be easy, lie after lie would be told, and nothing would stop the win. The people were behind him, the celebrity would back him, and the media would edit out all the bad replacing a hat with a halo. He had them all eating out of his hands.
When a child sees a glittery object, he will crawl over to it, curious, needing it so. Nothing would stop the toddler from getting that golden shiny object, and the Candidate, in this case new that if he wanted to win, he would have to be the gold ring.
His words were crafted just so, and everyone who was anyone would never think twice about their implication or significance. “We need to change for the good of all mankind,” or patriotism and capitalism needs to be changed to a one level, a world evened out, a world as one. He would separate the people into smaller groups and attack those who opposed such idealism. He would win over the lazy and those who just wanted to be accepted, and he did that and more.
After his win, those who saw the truth behind the man stood up to him, and those who were tired, afraid or just ignorant, accepted what was to be. The man was Adolf Hitler, and his plans to change the world failed thanks to those smart enough to see through his pretense. As history tends to repeat itself because of lack of knowledge, we now face that fear again here in America. The similarities are identical, the speech is the same, and the principles, and goals are equivalent. A world war was needed to stop the last autocrat; lets not let it go that far again.
